Calling all litter heroes!
The Great British Spring Clean is a great chance for people to show they love where they live or work.
This year’s event leaps into action on Friday 21 March, as thousands of ‘litter heroes’ begin sprucing up their neighbourhoods. You can pledge to get involved and find out more by visiting the Keep Britain Tidy website. You can also get advice and equipment from Keep Manchester Tidy – and become a member to keep the litter busting going all year round.
Once you get started, you can post your litter picking pictures and videos on social media using the hashtag #McrSpringClean25 and we can show the nation how much pride we take in our city.

- April 2nd 2025 12 noon - 2pm
- Meet at 12 noon at the entrance to Lime Square, Ashton Old Road, Openshaw, M11 1DA
Moss Side
- April 4th 2025 11am - 3pm
- Meet at 11 am at the Claremont Pub, 124 Claremont Road, Manchester, M14 4RR
